Samya Spa is an AABC-registered establishment, and the Ayurvedic practitioners providing services at the spa are credentialed members of the Ayurveda Association of British Columbia. AABC establishes education, scope-of-practice, ethics and professional standards for its registered members in British Columbia.
Samya Ayurveda began offering Ayurvedic spa services in British Columbia in 2002. Today, Samya Spa in downtown Victoria combines that experience with a modern day-spa setting offering massage, facials, natural nail care, sauna and steam therapies, specialized Ayurvedic treatments and Ayurveda consultations.
Samya began offering Ayurvedic spa services at a resort on Salt Spring Island in 2002 making it the first Ayurvedic destination spa in Canada. In 2005, co-founder Shaughn Jenson was one of the first Canadians registered with the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. Samya Ayurveda subsequently expanded into Ayurveda education and herbal and beauty products. Samya Ayurveda Inc. was incorporated in 2014, followed by the opening of an independent Samya Spa in 2015. Today, Samya Spa operates in downtown Victoria, British Columbia.
